A discovery, and once again a wonderful discovery…! Raised on the outskirts of Limoges by their British parents, they now live in Liverpool. These sisters have long been used to working together, immersed since childhood in a musical environment shaped by a rich and subtle Franco-British blend of cultures.
This duo is made up of Jaiden Hawkins-Dove, singer and guitarist, and Lilly Hawkins-Dove, multi-instrumentalist and producer. Together they offer a blend of styles, from folk to bossa nova, with touches of trip-hop influences typical of the 1990s. They aim for a hypnotic sound and seek to create a spellbinding feeling for the audience.
Jaiden began her journey with singing lessons and later taught herself guitar, which gave her a rather original way of playing. She gradually began to be noticed and successfully found her place on the music scene, particularly in Limoges.
For her part, Lilly specialised in production and recording, which now allows her to work with many artists. Their artistic influences? Jaiden and Lilly are always happy to mention King Krule, Massive Attack, and Labi Siffre. We did tell you they were “very beautiful discoveries”!
