It is always very rewarding for a festival to be able to follow an artist’s current work and evolution over several years. This is the case with Gaspard Guerre, drummer, composer, and explorer of jazz, rock, and electronic music aesthetics, whose open-minded spirit works wonders. With “The Voyage of Sidirann”, he offers us here a fantastic musical tale, a broad and ambitious work bringing together a jazz quartet, string ensemble and poetry. A hybrid project, a kind of “operatic tale”, that plunges us into the story of Sidirann, an inspiring character in search of peace and balance. Gaspard Guerre, an advocate for a free, beautiful, and fraternal world, will once again carry us very far with his sensibility through Sidirann.
