CrozPhonics is a trio of two cellos and accordion, led by accordionist Charles Kieny. Don’t be misled by their “chamber-like” sonic approach: the trio’s music is true creative jazz, combined with an imaginary folklore drawn from what the young composer likes to describe as an inner song, inspired by the diversity of the performers’ musical approaches and affiliations—three improvisers steeped in both European and Eastern cultures. The immense dynamic and textural range made possible by the combination of accordion and cellos enriches a richly crafted aesthetic in the service of an intense narrative. After Etienne MANCHON, AMG, and Oscar TERUEL… once again, an exceptional “discovery” event at the BFM Centrale!!
