Naira Badal and Adélaïde Panaget formed the Duo Jatekok,“game” in Hungarian, in 2011. An idea that is their “touch”. Accustomed to presenting original projects to the public, be it through sand drawing, mime or hip-hop, they are not afraid of crossover, so much so that they were invited to be the opening act of the German metal band Rammstein during their 2019 and 2022 tours of European and American stadiums.
Classical-trained pianists – and associated artists at the Limoges Opera – they transcend stylistic boundaries and have long explored the jazz world and aesthetics, since their second record “Les Boys” for which they worked with pianist Baptiste Trotignon and on which they recorded his “3 pieces for 2 pianos” as well as Brubeck’s “Points on jazz”. Beat, lyricism and improvisation are all part of “Crazy Quilt”, the two-piano programme they are preparing for Éclats d’Émail. They cover the music of the record Modern Music and reveal its echoes and the links between all those prominent figures of jazz and America’s minimalist music.
