Discovering and showcasing the talents of local artists is always a great pleasure for a Festival. With C-LY, everything’s there. This Trip-Hop group with neoclassical influences was initiated in 2016 by pianist Nicolas Granelet and guitarist Sébastien Verlhac. At first a duo, the group remained in an experimental stage until 2022 when they evolved towards their final formation with the addition of two artists from previous collaborations. Alban Guyonnet, a percussionist who played in various projects with Nicolas Granelet joined then, along with Marjolaine Paitel, a charismatic singer that this project reveals in all her profoundness.

C-LY find their bearings and aesthetics around a work mixing acoustic and electronic music. Melodic when they lull us, dynamic when they break free, C-LY’s compositions seek sound purity and hypnotic simplicity. All four musicians get together here for a strange journey, running high, lined with portraits and sensations, the journey of a Trip-Hop atmosphere which became famous with such groups as Massive Attack and Portishead and which is back into favour particularly with young audiences on the lookout for authentic and experimental sounds. C-LY will carry us high, where all is beautiful.
