Carried by drummer and composer Nicolas Girardi, this contemporary jazz trio explores a unique world, where the rhythmical richness of the odd measures meets the delicacy of refined melodies, with at times a touch of nostalgia. Inspired by figures such as Avishai Cohen, Tigran Hamasyan or GoGo Penguin, the project browses freely between modern jazz and instrumental pop. Though the drums are the driving force behind the energy on stage, it’s at the piano that Nicolas has imagined all the compositions, in a quest for balance between groove, emotion and harmonic simplicity. Nicolas Girardi’s Trio was the winner of the 2025 Tremplin Action.
