An ultra harmonic afro jazz-pop cocktail, KREOLIA underlines the multiple influences of this saxophonist of both Guyanese and West Indian origin. In this funk opus, Rodolphe Lauretta fuses with surgical precision hip-hop, bebop and Caribbean music. Both innovative and accessible, the KREOLIA album sanctifies the trance of groove without sacrificing improvisation and the refinement of the arrangements. One can hear rapper MED (Madlib’s acolyte), singer Geneviève Artadi (Knower), Dwight Trible… A pure aural feast to be listened to in concert at all costs and from which stand out some instrumental gems : a spurring tribute to Roy Hargrove, a cover of Alain Jean-Marie arranged in the broken beat way and many other escapes … and to which is invited a certain KARL The Voice, etc…
