A highly harmonic cocktail of Afrojazz pop, “Kreolia” underlines the numerous influences of this saxophone player with Guianian and West Indian backgrounds. In this opus, Rodolphe Lauretta merges with surgical precision funk, hip-hop, bebop and Caribbean music. Singer Dwight Trible (Harry Belafonte, Pharoah Sanders, Kalil El’ Zabar …), singer Geneviève Artadi from the Knower group, rapper M.E.D. aka Medaphoar (Aloe Blacc, Madlib, Anderson Paak, Jay Dilla…) and singer Ruppert Pupkin have been prestigious guests on Rodolphe’s record. At L’Ambassade, we’ll once again meet an acquaintance who was highly appreciated during the first editions of our festival, in the person of Karl THE VOICE.
