The Limoges M\u00e9tropole Tourist Office and the Festival \u00c9clats d\u2019\u00c9mail Jazz \u00c9dition are renewing this 2nd meeting, launched in 2025, for this 21st edition. It takes the form of a daily forum, open free of charge from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, to exchange, share, and discuss with professionals from the music sector. It offers you the chance to meet leading figures up close\u2014artists, producers, directors, designers, and business leaders who contribute to and embody France\u2019s cultural distinctiveness and its reach around the world. This event is already intended to become a lasting fixture and undoubtedly contributes to the appeal of both our event and our region.<\/p>\n

Without them, there would be no performances and no creations. Testimonies and discussions about essential professions, career paths, and training.<\/p>\n

In residence at the Centre Culturel Jean Gagnant before their concert and the release of her new album, this is an opportunity to ask questions to an artist we have been following for several years.<\/p>\n

11:45 AM \/ 1:30 PM \u2013 <\/strong>Talk with two flagships of instrument design and manufacturing in France: Christophe Sirgues<\/strong>, Director of the MAUGEIN accordion factory, the last French accordion manufacturer. Christophe Sirgues will explain the challenges facing a craft tradition in the complexity of an economic, social, and technological world that is changing too fast and too drastically. Adrien Besse<\/strong>, Sales Manager at Manufacture SELMER, also recognised as an Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant and a world leader in wind instruments, saxophones, and clarinets, will also be present.<\/p>\n

1:30 PM \/ 2:00 PM \u2013<\/strong> Screening of the documentary \u201cBehind the Scenes of the Design\u201d: exclusive access to the original tools carefully preserved by MuPop \u2013 the Museum of Popular Music in Montlu\u00e7on \u2013 and to Django Reinhardt\u2019s legendary SELMER guitar, kept at the Museum of Music at the Cit\u00e9 de la Musique in Paris, enabled luthiers G\u00e9rald Alonso and Fabian Le Dosseur \u2013 SELMER\u2019s project technical directors \u2013 to carry out meticulous reconstruction work based on an in-depth study of historic models.<\/p>\n

FRIDAY 27 NOVEMBER<\/strong><\/h3>\n

11:45 AM \/ 2:00 PM \u2013<\/strong> Talk with Olivier Vitu, SACEM Regional Director (with other speakers also present).<\/p>\n

Birth, role, and development of SACEM since 1851. For its 175th anniversary, celebrated this year, it will be interesting to see how this institution has become essential in supporting those who make music: songwriters, composers, publishers, and more. This discussion will also allow us to address current realities such as artificial intelligence and the dissemination of musical works.<\/p>\n

SATURDAY 28 NOVEMBER<\/strong><\/h3>\n

12:00 PM \/ 1:30 PM \u2013<\/strong> Talk and conference \u2013 After a first chapter last year on Maloya, the resistance music of R\u00e9union Island in its traditional form, journalist and director Anne-Laure Lemancel returns this year to explore its current developments. The result is an immersion in the island\u2019s contemporary sounds, in words and music, followed by a meeting with R\u00e9union-born jazz musician Val\u00e9rie Chane Tef, who will perform the following day at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de l\u2019Union, for a dialogue about a unique island identity.<\/p>\n
