[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Christine Salem, the diva of Maloya from R\u00e9union, the soundtrack of her island inherited from the slaves, had already accustomed us in the past to rubbing her roots and her ancestors\u2019 legacy against other galaxies \u2013 blues, rock, etc. Here, she pushes even further her musical explorations by forming around her voice, both terrestrial and inhabited by spirits, an all-star quintet composed of artists well-versed in jazz and all-out improvisations : a 100% hybrid product. At the foundations, Fanny Lasfargues (No\u00ebl Akchot\u00e9, Akosh S\u2026), with her hip-hop trails and noise roars, opts for the groove and provides the ground anchoring with her electroacoustic bass increased by electronic effects. On skin drums, struck with full palms, percussionist and ethnomusicologist Anne-Laure Bourget (Orange Blossom, Mohamed Abozekri \u2026), the singer\u2019s long-time accomplice, brings her plural and wandering knowledge of the rhythms from the East. At the kit, H\u00e9lo\u00efse Divilly (Oriane Lacaille), the brilliant drummer from R\u00e9union, refocuses the tempo around her island\u2019s so distinctive pulse. And finally, in that cauldron, guitarist Tatiana Paris (Thomas de Pourquery, Th\u00e9o Ceccaldi, Sandra Nkak\u00e9\u2026) secretes her delicate and carefully-considered precious notes.
\nAround that core, that common fire of Christine Salem\u2019s songs, in Creole and in her ancestors\u2019 tongue, carried by several female voices, these five sensitive virtuosi organize themselves, quite freely and intuitively, to give birth to this terra incognita, this moving entity against a maloya backdrop, this creole music wreathed with their respective identities gathered here. On stage, this bold and spicy adventure will take us to strange territories, abrasive, spiritual, blues, rock, feminine and sacred\u2026 The \u201cSalem R\u00e9union !\u201d saga.<\/p>\n
