Cordeone, a.k.a. Loïc Da Silva, started his career path playing Portuguese dance halls at the age of 6. He is a multi-instrumentalist who, starting by the accordion, has learnt to play the piano, classical guitar, Portuguese guitar, Brazilian percussions, drums and bass. At 18, he started a professional career in music. His musical odyssey allowed him the pleasure of working and cooperating with amazing performers from all horizons, such as Jah Mason, Turbulence, Big Joe Turner, Michael Pipoquinha, Ben l’Oncle Soul, Mario Canonge, Samson Schmidt and many others. This artists tries his best to compose a music that best represents his personal and artistic identity. Among his projects, he formed in 2014 this great “Fado Mãnouche Trio” with the aim of singing his own fados along with rearranged traditionals, bringing them the life and energy of Gipsy jazz. Beyond his compositions, most of his texts are by Cordeone, others by his poetess friend Elsa Magalhães, or by one of the greatest Portuguese poets of all times, Fernando Pessoa.
