With Pianoïd, Edouard Ferlet gets back to where he is the least expected with a record that ventures to the intersection of electro, contemporary music and ambient. While Bach has always been the pianist’s favourite playground, the latter takes a giant step over the centuries to place himself under the auspices of Philip Glass or Brian Eno. With the complicity of sound director Joachim Olaya (Bachar Mar Khalifé, Aufgang, Carl Craig, Francesco Tristano …), in charge of the interactive and electroacoustic device, Edouard Ferlet takes us on a technological musical journey. An exploration of the perfect orchestra instrument where he displays sonic landscapes of rich, dreamlike and deeply original matter.
