A new group will play the EPHAD Marcel FAURE on Saturday November 16 at 2:30 pm, the Rouilhac-Tortajada Duet.
Gaël Rouilhac is certainly one of our regional artists having taken part in a large number of our festival editions. From his first beginnings with the Latcho Dives group to his remarkable trio with Caroline Bugala and accordionists Roberto Gervasi or Frédéric Langlais, Gaël has showed his talent, as a musician of course, but also as a composer. Always looking for emerging or established talents, his encounter in 2022 with Portuguese accordionist Cordeone was a really nice surprise. This year, Gaël offers us to meet guitarist Pierre Tortajada. Born in the Vendée lands, now living in Corrèze, Pierre Tortajada started to learn the guitar at the age of 13 and has never stopped working, working, exchanging, and learning, in particular the basics and codes of Gipsy music. His sharing and relations with a number of well-known musicians in that world allowed him to be seen and heard within such bands as Bachra Swing Band and the West Hot Club. Introducing this brand new duet at the EPHAD Marcel FAURE speaks volumes about the generosity, attentiveness and contact that drive our two guitarists. A unique performance.
