Based in St Nazaire after pursuing cello studies at the Annecy Conservatoire, Louise Perret met Gwen Cahue with whom she founded “Melkoni Project” (Label OUEST/Bayard Musique) in which song teams up with jazz. Gwen Cahue’s name may be known by many for two other records released on the same label, for others we discover a young thirty-year-old with a crystal-clear voice who has already mastered all the subtleties of vocal art. From the torrential flow of “A Bout de Souffle” to André Minvielle’s acrobatic words, everything seems to work well for him, and it is not Charles Trenet, Cesaria Evora or Barbara that can scare him off. Initially a duet, their formula leaves room for the violin and for this concert, they will be joined by the talented Raphaël Tristan Jouaville whom we welcomed on numerous occasions, notably with guitar player Benjamin Bobenrieth… And all this at the aptly-named Fine Arts Museum.
