A saxophonist in Thomas de Pourquery’s Supersonic, co-founder of Poni Hoax and of Limousine, who also worked alongside Etienne Jaumet and Julien Doré, Laurent Bardainne presents his second album : Hymn To The Sun.  In a jungle rich with resonant grooves and captivating melodies, funk spirit meets jazz and the soul of the 70s. The saxophone tenor’s optimistic breath, with its direct and generous sound, conjures up Pharao Sanders’s spectre – a joyous and radiant concert like an oneiric and cinematic journey through an essence in a constant “renaissance”.

With his crew composed of Arnaud Roulin (Hammond organ), Sylvain Daniel (bass), Philippe Gleizes (drums), and Roger Raspail (percussions), Laurent Bardainne continues to carry us far away from the stressful atmosphere of today’s world. This applies particularly to “Destination Danger” (“Danger Man”) and “Combly Family” which perfectly illustrate the warm rays of sunlight travelling through our ears. Laurent Bardainne & Tigre d’Eau Douce will let the sun shine on us with this magnificent spiritual jazz of which we are in great need.
