It was a long-standing date, but beyond the project and the concert, it is a life path reaching its culmination. A trumpet and bugle player, a singer, Gilles CHATARD has spent his life “right past music”, “right past jazz”, as though he had never really declared them his love, out of modesty, out of humility, out of respect … but temptation was ingrained for so long. Over time, all the steps have been completed, with this only constant : the taste for a work well done, for the right and beautiful tone, for a well-placed and expressive voice. Everything is there now and the few caring friends know it and no longer hesitate to be guided to “the heart of music”, to “the heart of jazz” by such a generous personality. A quartet, like a hand-sewn jewel box, with Patrick PEYRIERAS (piano and arrangements), both considerate and provocative, Marc Michel LE BEVILLON (double bass), an infallible clock where the low notes exude a deep joy and Éric JACCARD (drums), a perfect rhythm and beat to live the moment to the fullest. This date will be a milestone.
