For 10 years now, Festen has been brilliantly unfolding their alternative jazz.  Passionate about film music, the four musicians have developed a language of their own over the years: minimalist music driven by a powerful energy inspired by 90s rock. The group has five albums to this day with cinema as a common thread. After the success of their “Inside Stanley Kubrick” released in 2018 on the LABORIE Jazz label, Festen presents “Replicant”, inspired by the synthetic and dark world of Blade Runner. “Replicant”, their new album, also on the LABORIE Jazz label, is a musical spin-off of the film Blade Runner by Ridley Scott, which opens with the enigmatic and tortured character Roy Batty’s monologue. He tells the story of his long journey and his quest for truth, his crossing along the shoulder of Orion to the Tannhäuser door. A powerful odyssey that, throughout the songs, carries the listener into a decadent instrumental world which questions mankind. A high-flying performance.
